Statement for Brynich Caravan Park
Brynich welcomes visitors of all
abilities and we hope that this statement will help you be better
informed about the facilities available to you at Brynich.
Entrance
The caravan park is accessed from the main A470 via a wide entrance
and is signposted from this entrance. All pitches have easy vehicular
access.
Parking
The park has parking for cars within 5 metres of the front door,
though additional parking is available. Customers are permitted
to park on their pitch and to have unobstructed access to their
caravan / tent.
Paths
All paths in the camping area are firm and level and are of a
tarmac surface. There are no dropped kerbs or changes in level.
There are no hazardous obstacles, overhanging trees or obstructions
and the external area is illuminated at night.
Path improvements have been made to the dog exercise area and
adventure playground, with a 1400mm wide bridge across the Brynich
Brook, though this area is not suitable for manual wheelchairs.
Approach to buildings
There is a single vehicular approach to the caravan park which
is has a tarmac surface and is illuminated. All building approaches
are flat and level with the exception of the reception / shop
which has a flagstone surface and a ramp to the reception door.
Entrance Doors
Entrance doors are all have a minimum clear width of 850mm.
Reception / Shop
The reception / shop counter is of a split level design with a
lower level of 760mm for wheel chair users.
Internal Circulation
Each room is accessible directly from the exterior of the building.
There are no corridors, and each building is single storey.
Internal Doors
All doors are cubicle doors to toilets and showers and are 850mm
wide. All door handles are between 900mm and 1200mm from the ground.
RADAR keys secure the two disabled units and are available from
reception. There are

All buildings in the caravan park are single storey.
Bathroom
There are two shower and toilet amenity blocks at Brynich Caravan
Park. One shower block has one larger shower cubicle in the ladies
and gents, for those who need more space. These cubicles can accommodate
a wheel chair. There are also two self contained shower rooms
that contain a toilet, a shower, a wash hand basin and a counter.
One of these rooms also contains a bath and baby changing unit.
One room is designed to transfer to the right and one to the left.
Laundry
One laundry sink is set at a height of 812mm for wheelchair users.
The tumble driers are both front loaders for easy access and at
least one washing machine will be a front loader design by August
2005
Transport
There a bus service that stops at Brynich.
Dogs
Service dogs and pet dogs are welcome at Brynich.
Communications
There is a good mobile phone signal at Brynich.
Staff
Brynich is a Welcome Host Gold standard park.
