Come and have a go at the Christmas Challenge this December: a brand new series of fun and festive brainteasers for children of different ages, which combine crazy fun on the equipment with action packed learning and problem solving.

Challenge 1: Santa’s Shapely Stuff, aimed at preschool and foundation stage children, focusing on shape and colour recognition.
Children hunt for hidden shapes and Christmassy pictures around the equipment and match them up on a festive worksheet.

Challenge 2: Jingle Letters - aimed at Key Stage 1 level children, focusing on forming words and creating sentences.
Children hunt for hidden letters in the equipment, and then unscramble them to make festive words and paragraphs.

Challenge 3: Rudolph’s Really Tricky Quiz - aimed at Key Stage 2 level children, focusing on finding information independently, reading comprehension and problem solving.
Children answer a set of tricky festive quiz questions by hunting for the Christmassy fact boards hidden around the equipment to find out the answers. They then collect Rudolph’s Ridiculous Riddle and see if they can crack it.

Once children have completed the challenge successfully, they choose a present from Santa’s sack, which, due to his busy schedule this year, he has left with the Play Barn staff.

The Christmas Challenge is running throughout December. It is priced at £1.50 per child, which is additional to the standard entry fee to the Play Barn. This price includes all worksheets, use of pencils and crayons plus a present from Santa’s sack - what a bargain!!
